The Process

Secondly, you should take the measuring cup and fill it with some soy wax flakes, after which you should place it in the microwave for around five minutes at high heat. Make sure to stir occasionally. As the flakes melt, you might need to add more to the cup. The melted wax should be around two cups.
Next, you will want to superglue a long candle wick to the jar’s bottom. For the best results, you might need to hold it in place for about one minute. That allows the glue to set properly.
After the glue sticks well, you should add around ¼ of your preferred essential oil to the wax and stir properly. There are different scents you can choose for the candle including green tea, vanilla, apricot, almond, or even lavender. You can even choose to create a blend of different fragrances depending on what you like.
The next step involves pouring the stirred mixture into the jar. Do this slowly so that the wax is spread out evenly to avoid any lumps when the wax starts cooling. If done properly, you should end up with a very smooth candle.
Finally, you should make sure that the wick is at the center of the candle. After the wax dries, simply cut the excess part of the wick with a wick trimmer.
